Review: Exfoliating Classic Snarky Bar

Classic Snarky Bar

Let's get Snarky for a moment, shall we? Here is the original Snarky Bar. This is the "classic" Snarky Bar with the Pink Heaven scent which seriously smells amazing. I will admit that I was late to the Snarky party and didn't try it out until more recently. (Our soaps last a long time so I've been working my way through all the soaps. I would cut them into smaller chunks to sample, but my husband loves using the whole bar of soap.) The Snarky Bar is a super aggressive exfoliating soap. It has snarky beads, hence the name, that help scrub off dead, dry skin. It leaves skin super soft so it's also ideal for rough spots like heels of feet

Meet the Snarky Bead!

My review: Like I said, I was a late adopter. I'm not someone who has super rough skin so I never felt like I really "needed" the Snarky Bar. I knew it was an aggressive scrubber so I was hesitant to try it at first, but I have to say that I am absolutely in love with it now. I definitely need it in my life after a rough day and especially on my dry, rough feet. I've heard some people refer to it as "heavenly sandpaper" which ends up being a pretty good description of it. I do have to mention that I did not fall immediately in love with the Snarky Bar. In fact, I was unsure why there were Snarky Addicts out there, but the more I used it, the more I understood.

The Snarky Bar is definitely something you have to get accustomed to if you're not used to exfoliating soaps. It's also something that you do not need to use on a daily basis. I actually rotate between this and another Perfectly Posh soap because I really don't need the heavy exfoliation every day. I've also heard other users use this more as an exfoliating spot treatment for rough spots. No matter how you use it,  your skin will end up nice and soft with a hint of the lovely Pink Heaven scent after your shower.

Snarky Bar Instructions

How does it work?
This Shea butter based soap bar has exfoliating beads that scrub and rub off dead, dry skin.

What does it do?
It helps smooth stubborn, dry and rough skin. It's extremely exfoliating so it's ideal for areas like feet.

How much does it cost?
For a 6 oz. bar, the Snarky Bar is only $15. Approximate dimensions are 4.5 inches long, 2.5 inches tall, and a little more than 1 inch thick. In comparison, Lush's Buffy Exfoliating Soap is $22.95 for 7 oz. or $11.95 for 3.3 oz.

How to use it?
Rub over skin in the shower or bath. I only rub it on some parts of my skin that really need the exfoliation then I use my hand to rub the beads along the rest of my skin. Make sure to use plenty of water and rinse off well. Use this in place of your regular soap for when you want the exfoliation or use it once per day. It's up to you how often you want to use it.

Fragrance:
The Pink Heaven scent is made up of bergamot, mandarin, freesia, lily, and soft sandalwood. This scent is loved by most customers who have smelled it. It isn't too floral or anything like that. Surprisingly, I didn't realize that there was bergamot or sandalwood in this which are two scents I'm not a huge fan of, but I love the scent of this Snarky Bar anyway.

Ingredients:
Water/Aqua, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Polyethylene, Glyceryl Stearate, Sucrose, Glycol Stearate, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Cocoate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Fragrance/Parfum, Hydroxypropyl Guar, Red 33.

In addition to the Classic Snarky Bar, we also have the Brazilian Bombshell Snarky Bar available. Have you tried the Snarky Bar? Have any questions? Leave a comment below. For more information, visit my website at https://www.perfectlyposh.com/kari or contact me at karicameron17@gmail.com.
