Review: The Stripper Detox Body Mud

Have you met the Stripper?

One of the best selling Perfectly Posh products (and one of my absolute must-haves) is called the Stripper. Why is it called that? Because it "takes it all off..." The Stripper is a detoxing body mud that has activated charcoal that helps remove free-radicals, toxins, and pollution from your skin. In combination with the Gender Bender Charcoal soap (another of my must-haves. (my review HERE.), these 2 detoxing products have helped me battle breakouts and dry skin.

My review: The Stripper is among my top 5 favorite Posh products. It's probably my favorite face mask too. Although you can use it anywhere on your body, I personally use the Stripper on my face every 2-3 days. I've found that using it consistent helps keep my breakouts at a minimum. When I go without it, I have massive breakouts regularly and I hate how long it takes for me to get back to a clear face. With the Stripper, it keeps all the junk out of my face so that I have clear days way more often than if I didn't use it. This is what I use for a deep detox while I use the Gender Bender Charcoal Soap Bar (my review HERE) for daily detoxing.

When I first used it, I was worried that I might rash up since I've had that reaction with other non-Posh masks before. It did tingle a little bit, but nothing close to burning and I had minimal redness after my first few uses. I started out using a small amount for a few minutes and I eventually added more minutes as I used it more often. Now, I can put on a good layer for 15 minutes without any redness afterward at all.

When you're washing it off, be sure to keep rinsing until the water runs clear. The activated charcoal gets into your skin to pull out the bad stuff so it's around longer than you think. Once you wash it all off, you're going to love the way your skin feels. It leaves my skin feeling so smooth and so incredibly clean. I love it so much and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interesting in trying it out. One tub lasts a LONG time so it really is a great investment.

Even though my favorite usage is my face, you can use this anywhere you need detoxing. My husband uses this on his back to help with his acne and I use it on my body any time I have extra time before showering. Just put it on, let it sit, then rinse it off in the shower.
